| This trip to Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island, is designed with relaxation in mind. Phu Quoc is situated in the An Thoi archipelago, 120km from Rach Gia in the Gulf of Thailand. Here we explore some of the surrounding islands by private boat where there are ample opportunities to swim and snorkel in waters that are clear and unpolluted. Even oyster pearls are cultivated here. The islands have delightful names such as Hon Thom (Pineapple Island) and Hon Vang (Echo Island). On Phu Quoc itself we get to see the island's most famous export - 'nuoc nam' or fish sauce. The sauce is made by fermenting specific types of fish with large amounts of salt in huge wooden vats for between 4 and 12 months. We also visit some of the islands best beaches as well as the Tranh Waterfall.
