| Day 1
Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2
Kathmandu - Pokhara
Depart for Pokhara by private vehicle. The total distance is about 200
km. upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in at hotel.
Day 3
Pokhara
Free day in Pokhara. Suggest that you take a walk along the lakeside and
a boat ride at the Lake Phewa Tal.
Day 4
Pokhara - Royal Chitwan National Park
You will proceed to the elephant stable for your first encounter with
them. A briefing on elephants will be held, giving you information about
lovely animals. Thereafter, visit an ethnic Tharus Village. The surrounding
farmland and villages have a pulse of their own, giving them a sense of
timelessness. An experienced guide will accompany you.
Day 5
Royal Chitwan National Park
Morning: Wake up call at dawn, timing will vary depending on the season.
Elephant ride in the Lamital area of the Royal Chitwan National Park and
ride on a traditional dugout canoe to the Gharial project. From the Gharial
project walk through the jungle back to the lodge. A trained naturalist
and a tracer will accompany you.
Afternoon: Depending upon the season, elephant bathing
demonstration will be held in the Rapti river, and you are most welcome
to join in giving the elephants a scrub. Later, you will proceed for your
second elephant ride in search of animals, reptiles, birds and other denizens
of the jungle.
Day 6
Royal Chitwan National Park - Kathmandu
After breakfast leave for Kathmandu. Total distance is about 150 km and
the time taken will be about 5 hours. Check-in at Hotel.
Day 7
Kathmandu
Morning sightseeing of Pashupatinath, Boudhnath and Bhaktapur. Afternoon
sightseeing of Patan City and Swyambhunath.
Day 8
Kathmandu
Transfer to airport for return flight.
