| Day 1
Dandakan
Meet on arrival at Dandakan Airport. Transfer to Sandakan jetty then continue
with a 45 minute boat ride by speed boat to Selingan Island (40 km). Free
at leisure to swim and snorkel in its clear waters. After dinner, wait
for a signal from the Park Ranger before proceeding in small groups to
watch the green turtle lay eggs on the beach. Watch how the eggs are transplanted
and buried in the hatchery and how baby turtles are released into the
sea. Overnight.
Day 2
Early breakfast. Depart island by boat for Sandakan. On arrival proceed
to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre. Trek for about ten minutes through the
rainforest on wooden plank-walks to observe the feeding of the Orang Utans
at 10.00 am. Continue with City Tour of Sandakan before transfer to hotel.
Lunch included.
Day 3
Dandakan
After breakfast transfer to airport for return flight. |
