| This overland tour provides the opportunity
to see Java and Bali the way they really are. Experience the trip of a
lifetime - see live volcanoes, pass sulphur springs, watch folk dances
and savour authentic cuisine.
Day 1
Jakarta
Transfer from airport to hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 2
Jakarta - Bogor - Bandung
Depart for Bandung, visiting the Etno Botanical Museum and the Botanical
Gardens en route. Lunch at Puncak Pass restaurant. Overnight.
Day 3
Bandung
An excursion to Tangkuban Prahu Crater and Ciater Hot Springs. After lunch
at a local restaurant, continue to Padasuka village to see the Angklung
(bamboo musical instrument) and the Sundanese dance performances.
Day 4
Bandung - Cilacap
Today's route will take you via Naga Village and the Tasikmalaya Handicraft
Centre. Lunch box is included. Overnight.
Day 5
Cilacap - Yogyakarta
Visit the Dieng Plateau with its interesting ancient Hindu temples, sulphur
springs, geysers and coloured lake. In the afternoon, visit the world
famous Borobudur Buddhist temple built in the eighth century. Overnight
in Yogyakarta.
Day 6
Yogyakarta
Visit the Sultan's Royal Palace (Kraton), batik home industry, Kotagede
silver-works and the magnificent ninth century Hindu temple of Prambanan.
Day 7
Yogyakarta - Tosari (Mt. Bromo)
A full day drive through interesting scenery to the hill station of Tosari.
Lunch en route.
Day 8
Mt. Bromo - Surabaya - Bali
Depart at 03.30 hours in time to view the sunrise atop Mt. Bromo Ascent
is by jeep and on horseback, to the smoking crater. Return to the hotel
in time for breakfast and transfer to Surabaya airport for the short flight
to Denpasar(Bali).
Tour package includes 7 nights accommodation, daily ABF
and lunches as per itinerary, sightseeing as mentioned and all land transfers.
