Day Tours ex-Istanbul | Byzantine Marvels of Art | [ ISVTK01 ]

Departure from the hotel, visit to Chora Museum, a former Basilica (St. Savior in Chora) famous for well-preserved mosaics and frescoes. Next we call on St. Sophia Museum which is one of the greatest marvels of architecture constructed as a Basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. We continue to the Hippodrome, the sportive and political centre of the old city, before we visit the Grand Bazaar which is a most attractive shopping centre and the biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops of antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets and leatherwear. We visit the Underground Cistern, storage of 80,000 tons capacity that provided the water of the city in the old days.

Day Tours ex-Istanbul | Ottoman Relics | [ ISVTK02 ]

Departure from the hotel, visit Suleymaniye Mosque, masterpiece of famous architect Sinan, build during the reign of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent during the 16th century. We then go on to visit the Topkapi Palace, the seat of the Ottoman Empire for five centuries, to see the Imperial Treasury, Chinese porcelain, weaponry and the Harem. Continuing our tour, we visit the Blue Mosque, facing St. Sophia, famous for its blue titles and unique with its 6 minarets built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. We visit the Grand Bazaar which is a maze of covered streets housing 4000 little shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets and copper/brass articles.

Day Tours ex-Istanbul | Bosphorus Tour | [ ISVTK04 ]

Departure from the hotel for a short visit to the Spice Bazaar where you will be greeted with whiffs of cinnamon, cloves and thyme. The shops and the atmosphere of the Bazaar are almost the same as they were 400 years ago. We then embark on a boat cruise up the Bosphorus, the natural waterway that separates Europe and Asia passing by palatial homes, palaces, castles and under the two suspension bridges.

Before we cross the Bosphorus Bridge which is a unique way to step from one continent to another, we visit the majestic Dolmabahce Palace, the residence of the latter-day Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, with 365 regular and 22 reception rooms. Crossing over to the Asian side, we visit Camlica Hill which is one of the highest in Istanbul, exposing a breath-taking panoramic view of the city and the Bosphorus. There will be shopping possibilities for jewellery, leatherware and souvenirs at Beylerbeyl, a typical suburb, reflecting old Istanbul.

Departure from hotel and arrival at port, where we embark on our boat for our cruise on the Marmara Sea to the Princes' Islands. We stop at Buyuk Ada, the popular summer resort with sandy beaches and pine trees. This was also the pleasure island of the Byzantine princes. Following lunch at a sea-side restaurant we will go on a horse-drawn carriage tour of Buyuk Ada. Swimming may be arranged upon request.

Day Tours ex-Istanbul | Istanbul by Night | [ ISVTK09 ]
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to a first class restaurant for dinner with local beverages. Here you will have a chance to watch the spectacular Floor-Show with famous Belly-Dancers, Anatolian Folklore groups and well-known Turkish singers.

Day Tours ex-Istanbul | Ephesus and Virgin Mary's House | [ ISVTK10 ]

Departure from hotel and transfer to Istanbul airport for flight to Izmir and departure for Ephesus. Visit St. John's Basilica and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Visit the last abode of Virgin Mary at Mt. Solmissos. Lunch at Selcuk followed by a visit to Ephesus where you will see the Temple of Hadrian and Serapis, Agora, Library of Celcius, the Great Theater, Double Church and the Gate of Magnesia. Return to Izmir for our flight back to Istanbul and transfer to hotel.

Day Tours ex- Istanbul | Pergamon Tour | [ ISVTK11 ]

Transfer from hotel to Istanbul airport for early flight to Izmir and drive to Pergamon. We will begin our visit with Asclepieum, ancient medical centre built in the name of Asciepius, God of Medicine. Following lunch we will continue to Pergamon Acropolis where you will see the Temple of Athena, Altar of Zeus, Temple of Dionysos, Odeon, Library, Agora, Great Theater and the Roman Baths. Return to Izmir for flight to Istanbul and transfer to hotel.

Day Tours ex- Istanbul | Green Bursa Tour | [ ISVTK12 ]

Departure from hotel to embark on a ferry to Yalova. Drive to Bursa enjoying the lovely countryside and have lunch. Take a cable-car to Mt. Uludag, the legendary Mt. Olympus. Back in Bursa, visit Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque), the Green Mausoleum, the old Silk Market in the Covered Bazaar where Turkish towels are a good buy. Late evening, return to Istanbul by ferry and transfer to hotel.
